I'm not a dubstep expert by any means. *emphasis on NOT an expert*. I would say that I know of a couple artists and a couple of tracks. One of those artists is a duo from London consisting of Saul Milton and Will Kennard...better known as Chase & Status.
Chase & Status has been around since 2004, producing tracks under the label Mercury Records and falling under the genres of drum and bass, dubstep, grime and electronic.
My first encounter of the duo was for their "massive" dubstep track Eastern Jams, which was also my first taste of dubstep. The reason for this blog post was not only to introduce a possible new artist, but also a (re)introduction to the genre of dubstep. White Lies - "Death" (Chase & Status remix) is a good example where a song doesn't have that trademark wobble that sometimes overtakes a dubstep track. Take a listen, and check out their myspace while you're at it. Not a hater of the wobble, just enjoy artists' creativity.
